7 Common Disciplines That Are Not Part of Reiki Treatment

It’s important to understand what Reiki is not. Many people have a misunderstanding of Reiki, and they may miss out on a wonderful healing experience just because they attend something that is labeled as Reiki treatment in Busselton but actually is not. I hope that the following list clears up the majority of misunderstandings.

Some Healers Include a Tarot Reading

Reiki has never involved, Tarot reading. Furthermore, the Tarot reading encourages worry about the future, which is opposite of what the Reiki Principle of “Just for Today and Do Not Worry” stands for. Reiki gives you the ability to take charge of your life and let go of your anxieties.

Crystal Healing

Crystal Reiki is a well-respected Reiki discipline, and experienced healers who have been trained in it will employ crystals alongside their Reiki. This is not the same as a less-than-stellar healer bringing out the crystals when you arrive for a session, or, worse, when you attend a Reiki healing centre in Bussleton. Before you book an appointment, a professional Crystal Reiki healer will always disclose that they work with crystals. They will explain that the crystals are a bonus, and they will explain what Reiki is.

Aura Reading

Aura reading is an optional addition in several Reiki disciplines. It’s a wonderful addition, but don’t assume it to be an integral part of Reiki treatment, like crystals. Reiki does not necessitate having your aura read.

Giving Explicit Advices

Reiki is channeled via the healer, yet it cannot be manipulated in any way by the healer. A good Reiki healer may provide you after-care suggestions, such as reciting the Reiki Principle as a mantra, drinking more water, eating more organically, or taking a more holistic approach to your health. However, it is not Reiki if a Reiki healer says things like “Burn a candle and toss salt into the flame,” or “You must leave your boyfriend” (unless the partner is endangering you or your family members).

Reiki Massage

Reiki treatment in Busselton does not involve any massage whatsoever, and may even be totally done in the aura off the body, if that is your healer’s preference. One respected Reiki discipline, Jikiden Reiki, involves a brief gentle tapping on the back at the end of the session, but that is not a massage in the usual sense of the word. Please see the next point for further clarification.

Undressing

If a Reiki healer asks you to undress when all you want is a Reiki treatment, leave immediately and never return. This is much different from receiving a massage followed by Reiki, which is perfectly acceptable and feasible in this circumstance.

Nutritional Counseling and Supplement Sales

The Reiki healing centre should not be offering you nutritional or supplement advice unless they are a qualified nutritionist or dietician, or unless they have been trained and qualified to do so.
